Zeppoles are Italian doughnuts made with flour, baking powder, sugar, salt and vanilla extract. Many of us enjoy eating desserts mostly kids and that is the reason why i decided to make home made zeppoles. This delightful dessert derived from Italy is easy to make and only requires 15 min of preparation and 25 minutes of cooking. I really enjoyed cooking zeppoles because it is easy to make and the results I've had were amazing. My zeppoles turned out sweet and slightly salty just the way I wanted. There are several types of way to enjoy zeppoles. You can dip it in a chocolate fondue, eat it with whip cream and even with custard. Ingredients
- Vegetable or any frying oil
- All-purpose flour
- Baking powder
- White sugar
- Salt
- Eggs
- Vanilla extract
- Confectioner's sugar
Directions
- Start by heating 2 quarts oil in a deep fryer at 375 degrees.
- In an average size saucepan incorporate a desired amount of flour, sugar, bakimg powder, salt, eggs and about half a teaspoon of vanilla extract.
- Drop the doughnuts into the deep fryer for 4 to 5 minutes or until they look crispy.
- Once they're out the deep fryer dip the in an adequate amount of cenfectioner's sugar.
- You can now savor your heavenly dessert.
